Welcome to the memorial page for

Paul Joseph Buscovick

January 8, 1946 ~ March 16, 2017 (age 71)

Paul Joseph Buscovick lost his hard-fought battle with cancer on March 16, 2017, while in Driggs, Idaho, with his brother, John Buscovick, and brother-in-law, John Flesner, at his side.  Paul was born in Winona, Minnesota, on January 8, 1946, to Thomas M. and Margaret “Mary” Buscovick.  Paul was the fourth of seven children born to Tom and Mary.  Paul loved many things in his life: water skiing, fast cars, fast boats, downhill skiing and telemark skiing in the Colorado Rockies, ice skating, road biking, and mountain biking.  If an activity could be done outside, that’s where Paul wanted to be.  He enjoyed jazz, good wine, good friends, good food and beautiful clothes.  He was a consummate builder and a perfectionist.  He built many new homes and restored many old homes to their former glory. Paul lived life to the fullest.  He was always going somewhere or doing something.  He was abrupt, but at the same time so very sweet. You always knew where you stood with Paul.  If he liked you, he would do anything for you.  Paul had several dogs throughout his life, and they were his kids.  There was Meggy, who hiked West Maroon Pass to Aspen, Maddy, who lived in Portland and learned to walk in the rain, and there is Vladimir, who misses Paul something fierce. Besides Vladimir, Paul leaves behind his siblings: Mary Kay (Jack) McElroy, Tom (Mary Pat) Buscovick, Carol (Gene) McCluskey, John Buscovick, Helen DeBerard, and Margaret (John) Flesner. He also leaves nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Paul’s father and mother predeceased him.

There will be a Celebration of Life in Colorado (date to be announced later),
